LevelCheck uses your iPhone's built-in microphone and applies device-specific calibration offsets derived from comparison with calibrated reference meters. Supported devices are pre-calibrated at launch, and Pro users can add an external mic profile plus a personal trim offset for higher precision.

Under consistent conditions, readings are typically within ±2–3 dB of a calibrated reference meter. It is suitable for practical setup guidance, not formal compliance or legally defensible noise surveys. For the full explanation, see How accuracy works.
No. LevelCheck is local-first. All your session and profile data stays on your device, and no account is required.
Yes. We process audio in real-time to calculate levels, but we never record, store, or transmit your raw audio.
All tiers include the full 7-band spectrum and all analyzer views (Spectrum, Freq, FFT, Log, and Lin). Core adds guided checks, recommendations, and fix-and-verify workflows. Pro adds per-band dB values, comparison deltas, and 1/3-octave spectrum.
Since all data is stored locally, deleting the app from your iPhone will remove all associated measurement history and profiles.
